You perhaps know him as a man about town. Mr. Kevin Cushing, Class of 1974, has graciously donated his time to serve as Trustee of the Alumni Association. Kevin’s fondest memories of Winnacunnet are the co-ed volleyball games, attending the football games, and taking two years of Latin with Mr. Burt Vaughn. He was drawn to our group by talking to Secretary Sue Brooks, and became interested in the community service work we do. His goals are to work on a new directory project, continue the fundraising events, and he hopes to lend a hand in expanding the scholarship program to meet the needs of our underserved students. We thank you, Kevin, for joining us and becoming a key part of our service to fellow alumni.

Important Update April 27, 2020

The Board of Directors has decided to cancel the Annual Gathering previously planned for June 20, 2020 due to the pandemic.

To all alumni and friends:

Since 1907, your Alumni Association has taken on the great task of providing a yearly reunion for all classes and gathering of our officers to share with you the news of our activities.

It is with great sadness that we provide you with the results of our April 21st Board of Trustees Meeting through Zoom...the trustees and officers all agreed that the safety and health of our members, particular those of our older generation, comes first, and we must cancel our 114th Annual Gathering on June 20th of this year.

No where in the history of our Alumni Association has this happened. As a June event, we can only say it is the timing of this pandemic that puts us in jeopardy. Even in 1918, the June event was held, as the Spanish flu did not hit Hampton until early September. We hope you can understand our situation. We are in the midst of historical times.

Your Alumni Association stays dedicated to the task of renewing acquaintances and continuing our scholarship efforts. Awards will continue, friendships will abound, and reunions held through different media outlets. Be on the lookout for a few email blasts and newsletter information. We encourage and support you as best we can for smaller reunions moving forward, until we know more.Stay in touch with us.

Right now, let's share the memories and hope for the best. Let's wish our WHS Class of 2020 the best for their future...we love and support them through these crazy times. Stay safe, stay well...reach out to us if you need us.
